Men’s Soccer Travels to No 24 Hofstra

Bearcats and Pride Face Off Tuesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-5-1, 0-0-1 AE) tied No. 18 New Hampshire 0-0 on Saturday evening. Sophomore goalkeeper Jack Root - the current America East Defensive Player of the Week - finished with four saves in his first start since transferring from Concord last year. The match also marked the first time that Binghamton has tied a nationally-ranked team since it played then No. 18 Colgate to a 1-1 deadlock on Sept. 14, 2018.


- Graduate student midfielder Jack Green continues to lead Binghamton with seven total points this season (two goals and two assists). Redshirt senior midfielder Anthony Lazaridis has also scored twice this season.

- Hofstra (6-1-2, 1-0-2 CAA) most recently defeated William & Mary 2-1 on Saturday. Earlier in their season, the Pride defeated America East opponent UMBC 2-0 on Sept. 12.

- Hofstra is currently ranked No. 24 in the United Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Pride is the third nationally-ranked opponent that Binghamton has square off against this season.

- Ryan Carmichael leads the Pride with 18 total points this season (seven goals and four assists). He also ranks first in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and is tied for seventh in the nation 2.00 points per game.

- Hofstra leads the all-time series record 4-1-1. The Pride won the last meeting 1-0 on Sept. 20, 2022 at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Binghamton's victory over Hofstra occurred on Oct. 25, 2016, when the Bearcats won 2-1.
