Women’s Tennis Concludes Fall Slate

Four Bearcats compete at ITA New England Regional

Box Score CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Women's Tennis completed its fall schedule at the ITA New England Regional this weekend at Harvard's Beren Tennis Center. 

Natalia Aruj and Caterina Casadei competed for the Bearcats in singles but lost to their respective singles opponents in straight sets in the first round. Aruj fell 1-6, 4-6 to Cornell's Victoria Zhao while Casadei dropped a qualifying match to Darmouth's Caroline Lemcke, 2-6, 2-6. 

Aruj did pick up a impressive win over Brown's Anne Yang 7-5, 6-4, in her consolation match Saturday afternoon. 

Aruj and teammate Loren Cuomo appeared in doubles but stumbled to Boston University's Nina Gulbransen and Emily Yimer Zhao, 1-8. Casadei also competed with Clara Arbeloa Lopez and lost their first round match 5-8 to Niagara's Saloni Tamang and Maria Melo.
