Men’s Soccer Hosts UMass Lowell

Bearcats and River Hawks square off Saturday at 6:07 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (7-5-2, 1-2-0 AE) won 2-1 at New Hampshire last Saturday. Senior back Luke Yates and redshirt sophomore forward Cailen Thomas netted the Bearcat goals. In goal, graduate student Dylan McDermott made five saves.

- Sophomore midfielder Marcus Nahim leads the Bearcats and ranks third in the America East with five assists. Sophomore forward Anthony Randazzo has scored a team-best four goals while Yates has three goals and an assist. Yates is also tied for second in the conference with a pair of game-winning goals.

- Binghamton is seeking its eighth victory of the season, which would be its highest total since going 10-8-2 in 2015.

- UMass Lowell (6-2-4, 1-1-1 AE) lost 2-1 to visiting Bryant last Saturday. Oliver Holmstrom scored his team-best fourth goal of the season during the match.

- Holmstrom and Guillermo Francés Poquet are tied for the team lead with eight total points each. Frances Poquet has three goals and a pair of assists so far this season.

- Earlier in the season, the River Hawks tied UMBC 1-1 on Oct. 5. The Bearcats, meanwhile, were defeated 2-0 by UMBC back on Sept. 28.

- UMass Lowell leads the all-time series 5-4-1 but Binghamton has won the past three meetings. Most recently, the Bearcats took a 2-1 road decision on Oct. 21, 2023. Thomas scored the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute.
