Men’s Soccer Travels to Bryant

Bearcats and Bulldogs Square Off Sunday at 4 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (8-5-2, 2-2-0 AE) defeated UMass Lowell 1-0 this past Saturday at home. Redshirt sophomore forward Cailen Thomas scored the game-winning goal in the 30th minute off a free kick by graduate student forward Tom Cohen. In goal, graduate student Dylan McDermott made six saves.

- The Bearcats are 2-0-1 in their past three matches. Heading into the match against Bryant, Binghamton has not allowed a goal in the past 155 minutes.

- Sophomore forward Anthony Randazzo and senior back Luke Yates are tied for first on the team with eight total points (Randazzo has four goals, Yates has three goals and two assists). 

- Thomas has three goals and an assist (seven points). He has scored the winning goal in each of the past two matches.

- McDermott is the current America East Defensive Player of the Week. He leads a Bearcat defense that has recorded four shutouts so far this season. Yates, seniors Charlie Kaldor and Carlo Cavalar, junior Rio Onwumere and freshman Ryan Gillon have been the starters on defense for most of the season.

- Sophomore forward Marcus Nahim ranks third in the America East with five assists. Three of his assists have come on game-winning goals. Yates and Thomas, meanwhile, are tied for second in the conference with a pair of game-winning goals.

- Bryant (7-4-3, 2-2-0 AE) lost 1-0 at first-place Vermont last Sunday. The Bulldogs are the defending America East champions. 

- Marc Pitarch Bayot and Cristian Guirado have each scored a team-best four goals this season for Bryant. Pitarch Bayot also has a team-best 10 points, which ranks eighth in the America East.

- The Bulldogs as a team lead the America East in scoring defense (0.64 GAA). In goal, Antreas Hadjigavriel has posted five shutouts and is ranked first in the conference with a 0.74 GAA.

- Bryant leads the all-time series 2-1-0. Most recently, the Bulldogs defeated Binghamton 3-1 in the America East semifinals last season. Current junior midfielder Calvin Moe scored the goal for the Bearcats. This marks the third time in four meetings that Bryant is the home team.

- Both Binghamton and Bryant have had scoring from multiple players this year. Ten different Bearcats have found the back of the net while the Bulldogs have posted nine goal scorers this season.

- With three matches remaining in the regular season, Binghamton already has its most victories since going 10-8-0 in 2015. The Bearcats reached the conference finals that year.
