Bearcats extend win streak to six with one match remaining

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Volleyball (18-9, 7-2) pulled off a five-set win at Lehigh (14-12, 7-8), 3-2, Wednesday night inside Grace Hall at Leeman-Turner Arena. The victory extends the Bearcats win streak to six with one match remaining.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Binghamton started off the match strong, hitting .594 with 19 kills and no errors en route to a 25-15 first set victory.

The Bearcats continued their momentum in the second frame, registering six straight points to lead late, 19-11. Lehigh cut the advantage to two, 23-21, before kills from Tsvetelina Ilieva and Viktoria Dimitrova ended the set, 25-21, for Binghamton.

The Mountain Hawks mounted a comeback next, winning the third and fourth sets 25-18 and 25-14, respectively, to level the score at two frames apiece. Lehigh notched a .344 attack percentage while holding the Bearcats to a .080 clip across the two sets.

Binghamton stymied Lehigh's resurgence, using two, 3-0 runs to jump ahead 10-5 in the final set. The Bearcats tacked on five of the next ten points to claim the deciding frame, 15-10, and take the match victory.
