VESTAL, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (2-2, 0-0) hosts Siena (2-2, 0-0) Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Bearcat Sports Complex. Game time is slated for 3 p.m. 

The Bearcats' contest against the Saints honors the Morgan's Message and Better Together initiatives. The two causes strive to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community, create more mentally healthy environments for those student-athletes and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. 

Members of the women's lacrosse team who sit on the Student-Athlete Mental Health Committee, in Paloma Blatter, Christiana Mastrorocco, Amanda Padrazo, Gabriella Meli, Kristen Scheidel, Gaby Castillo, Madison Murphy, Olivia Cosgrove, Olivia Muscolino, have aided the BU in it's organization efforts. Zoe Congdon is the Bearcats' Morgan's Message Ambassador. 

The first 75 fans who attend Wednesday's game will receive a Morgan's Message wristband. 

Binghamton holds a 2-2 season record, most recently defeating Colgate in a tight contest, 16-15, on the road 

Abigail Carroll registered her 100th career point against the Raiders and led BU with five points (4G, 1A). Hayley Weltner and Scheidel posted three goals apiece while Muscolino, Murphy and Mia Forte scored two each. 

Sofia Salgado earned a career-high 11 saves in goal over Colgate. Weltner added a season best 10 draw controls in the victory. 

The all-time series between BU and Siena stands tied 6-6, with the Saints winning the most recent match-up, 11-5, Feb. 25, 2023, in Loudonville, N.Y. 

Last time out, Siena defeated St. Bonaventure, 10-6, on the road, Feb. 24. The Saints upset No.18 Army West Point, 12-11, to earn their first victory of the season, Feb. 17. The team's two losses came at home against No. 14 Johns Hopkins, 17-9, and Dartmouth, 15-8. 

Kelly Logue leads the Saints with 15 points (6G, 9A), followed by Grace Dobrzynski's 13 (6G, 7A) and Taryn Asselin's 12 (9G, 3A). 

Next up, Binghamton travels to Buies Creek, N.C., Sunday, March 3, for a match-up at Campbell. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
