BU seeks its fifth win of the season over the Great Danes after dropping its last three contests. Last time out, the Bearcarts fell 15-7 to Cornell at home, Tuesday, March 12. Goalkeeper Sofia Salgado highlighted action against the Big Red offense as she posted a career-high 12 saves in the loss.

Olivia Muscolino paced the Binghamton offense with five points (3G, 2A) for her fifth hat trick of the season. Kristen Scheidel added two goals and a team-high five draw control wins. Madison Murphy tacked on two points (1G, 1A) while Carla Curth also found the back of the net once for Binghamton

Binghamton is currently fifth in the America East team standings behind UMass Lowell (8-0), Bryant (5-3), UMBC (5-3), and Vermont (5-3). BU is second overall in the conference in shots per game (31.00) and assists per game (5.22).

Abigail Carroll ranks in the top five of all AE performers in the four major offensive categories. The junior midfielder is second in shots per game (8.25), third in points per game (4.50), fourth in assists per game (1.63) and fifth in goals per game (2.88). Three Bearcats rank in the top-10 players in the conference for draw controls per game with Welter in second (5.22 avg), Carroll in fourth (5.00 avg) and Scheidel in eighth (3.89 avg).

UAlbany leads the all-time series over Binghamton 24-0. The contest is slated to be a rematch of last year's America East Championship game where the Great Danes edged the Bearcats 14-13 to claim its third conference title and first since 2012.

UAlbany owns a 1-6 record so far this season with one, 15-7, win over Colgate, March 2. Five of six of the Great Danes' losses have come at the hands of ranked opponents in No. 1 Northwestern, No. 2 Boston College, No. 14 Johns Hopkins and No. 23 Brown.

Next up, Binghamton returns home to host conference foe UMass Lowell, Saturday, March 23. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Bearcat Sports Complex.
