CONWAY, S.C. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (4-2) will take on Coastal Carolina (2-3), Wednesday, March 6, at Brooks Stadium. First draw is slated for 12 p.m. on ESPN+. 

The Bearcats look to extend their win streak to five in Conway after earning a dominant, 22-6, road victory over Campbell Sunday. BU commanded the stat sheet against the Fighting Camels, holding a 38-17 shots and a 19-12 draw controls advantage. Binghamton stayed perfect on clears as well, converting on 11 out of 11 attempts. 

Led by Kristen Scheidel's five first half goals, eight Bearcats found the back of the net for BU in the victory. Abigail Carroll matched her career-high for the second time this season with a team-best nine points (4G, 5A), followed by Hayley Weltner (2G, 4A) and Madison Murphy's (4G, 2A) six. 

Binghamton is currently tied for third in the America East team standings with Bryant and behind UMass Lowell (6-0) and Vermont (5-1). BU leads the conference in points (20.33 avg), assists (6.17 avg), shots (32 avg) and woman-up goals (2.83 avg). 

The Bearcats rank 22nd nationally in draw controls per game, 26th in shots per game, 38th in points per game, 40th in draw control percentage, 41st in assists per game, and 49th in shot percentage. 

Carroll sits in second place among all AE players in points per game (4.83) and shots per game (8.17). Her goals per game (3.33) and assists per game (1.50) averages rank her fourth in the conference overall. 

The junior midfielder owns 14th nationally in points and 18th in shots per game. Carroll also ranks 24th in total goals and 27th points per game. 

Three Bearcats rank in the top-10 players in the conference for draw controls per game with Welter in second (6.50 avg), Carroll in third (5.67 avg) and Scheidel in ninth (3.00 avg). Weltner's average ranks her 22nd in the country in the category. 

Wednesday's contest will be the first meeting in program history between Binghamton and Coastal Carolina. 

CCU owns a 2-3 record to start the 2024 season, dropping games to Vermont, No. 21 Clemson and Davidson while grabbing wins against Wofford and Elon. 

Next up, BU returns home to host Niagara, Saturday, March 9 at the Bearcat Sports Complex. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
