VESTAL, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (7-6, 2-1) is set to host New Hampshire (2-9,0-3) this Saturday at the Bearcat Sports Complex. First draw is slated for 11 a.m. 


BU seeks its third conference victory, and eighth overall, over UNH. Last time out, Binghamton delivered a 23-4 rout of Youngstown State, Saturday, April 6, at home. Eight Bearcats combined for a season-high 23 goals in the team's non conference closer against the Penguins. Ten players notched a season-best 38 total points for BU in the victory. 

Madison Murphy led BU with a career-best eight points on a season-high five goals and three assists. Olivia Muscolino extended her scoring streak to 31 games with four goals and four assists. Carla Curth set her own career high with six points on three goals and three assists. 

Binghamton sits fourth in the America East team standings behind UMBC (8-4, 3-1), UAlbany (4-8, 3-1) and Bryant (8-4, 2-1). BU leads in the conference in assists per game (5.69) while ranking second in points per game (18.62) and shots per game (31.15). The team is also third in goals per game (12.92). 

Muscolino ranks in the top-10 of all AE performers in three major offensive categories. The junior attacker is eighth in goals per game (2.62) and points per game (3.38) while sitting tenth in shots per game (6.00). 

Two active Bearcats rank in the top-10 players in the conference for draw controls per game with Weltner in fifth (5.23 avg) and Scheidel in sixth (4.46 avg). Angelina Suau also sits ninth in the America East for caused turnovers per game (1.23).

Goalkeeper Sofia Salgado is third in the AE with 11.06 goals against average and fifth in saves percentage (.401).  

New Hampshire leads the all-time series over Binghamton 18-3. Although, BU took the teams last match-up, 12-7, on the road, March 25, 2023. 

The Wildcats are looking to secure their first America East victory of the spring against the Bearcats Saturday. UNH is on a eight-game losing streak and most recently fell 18-10 to UMass Lowell at home. 

Next up, Binghamton travels to Baltimore, Md. for its final road game of the year against UMBC, Saturday, April 20. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
