Men’s Soccer Hosts Colgate

Bearcats and Raiders face off Friday at 6:07 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-2-0) lost 3-2 at Hofstra on Monday evening. It was the Bearcats first match of the year against a team that was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 Poll. Since then, the Pride has moved up to the No. 24 ranking.

- Sophomore forward Anthony Randazzo set a career high with two goals against Hofstra. The assists were credited to senior midfielders Carlo Cavalar and Billy Clark.

- Randazzo's two goals so far this season leads the Bearcats, while Clark has a team-best two assists. In goal, graduate student goalkeeper Dylan McDermott has posted a pair of solo shutouts. 

- Colgate (2-2-0) lost 3-2 to Fordham on Monday night. Back on Aug. 25, however, the Raiders won 1-0 at No. 13 Virginia.

- Jack Beerling leads the Raiders with two goals so far this year, including the game-winning goal against the Cavaliers. The other goal came in the match against the Rams.

- Colgate had three players receive Patriot League weekly awards on Monday. The three honorees included Beerling (Offensive Player), Oliver Townend (Goalkeeper) and Jacob Blackwin (Defensive Player). 

- Colgate leads the all-time series against Binghamton 6-5-4, having taken the last two matches. Most recently, the Raiders won 2-1 at home Sept. 1, 2023. Binghamton's last win in the series was a 2-1 decision in double-overtime at Colgate.
