Men’s Soccer Hosts Second-Ranked Bryant on Senior Day

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-9-0, 0-3-0 AE) lost 1-0 to NJIT last Saturday before a season-high crowd of 1,242 fans at the Bearcats Sports Complex. In two of their last three home matches, the Bearcats have drawn crowds of over 1,000 fans.

- Junior forward Anthony Randazzo is currently tied for second in the America East with five goals and is tied for fourth with 10 total points. Sophomore midfielder DT Megliola, meanwhile, is tied for second in the conference with four assists.

- Prior to the Bearcats' match against the Bulldogs, they will hold their annual Senior Day Ceremony. This year's honorees included Calvin Moe, Rio Onwumere, Luke Yates, Daniel Shannon and Simon Kneuwe.

- Bryant (12-0-1, 3-0-0 AE) is ranked second in the current United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 Poll - its highest ranking in program history. The Bulldogs' most recent America East victory was a 5-0 win against visiting UAlbany last Saturday.

- Jamie Amaro leads the America East and is tied at No. 10 in the nation with nine goals. He is also tied at No. 12 with 21 total points. As a team, the Bulldogs lead the conference and rank No. 21 in the nation with 2.31 goals per game. They are also tops in the America East and tied for third in the nation with a 0.39 goals against average. 

- Bryant represents the highest-ranked opponent that the Binghamton men's soccer program has hosted during its 24-year NCAA Division I era. The Bearcats hosted then fifth-ranked New Hampshire on Sept. 29, 2019 and then seventh-ranked UMBC back on Oct. 26, 2013.

- There have been two Binghamton athletic programs that have hosted the top-ranked Division I team in the nation. Wrestling has hosted the No. 1 team three times, including its most recent match against Penn State on Nov. 22, 2024. Women's lacrosse, meanwhile, hosted then No. 1 Stony Brook on April 7, 2018.

- Binghamton's last victory over a nationally-ranked program was its 2-1 triumph over then No. 23 New Hampshire on Sept. 29, 2018. The Bearcats' last tie against a nationally-ranked team was their 1-1 deadlock against then No. 17 Vermont (which went on to win the national title) on Nov. 5, 2024.
