SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Sophomore Evan Peters won four individual events and anchored the first-place 400 free relay team, highlighting Binghamton's dual meet at Bryant. The Bearcat men recorded a 184-169 triumph while the Bulldog women won 212-141. The two-day meet concluded on Saturday.

Peters captured the men's 200 free (1:38.97), 500 free (4:36.96), 1,000 free (9:34.96) as well as the 400 IM (4:00.11). Three of his victories (200 free, 500 free and 400 IM) were pool records. The other members of that first-place 400 free relay team, which clocked a time of 3:02.22, included sophomores Cullin Cole and William Deutmeyer and senior Liam Preston.

The Bearcat men posted three-other individual winners. Freshman Isaih Francis touched first in the 100 back (49.89), sophomore Amir Sadykov took top honors in the 200 breast (2:04.35) while freshman Samual Pikofsky-Christiansen was triumphant in the one-meter diving competition (281.85).

Francis led off both the first-place 200-  and 400 medley relay teams, whose winning times were 1:31.33 and 3:21.74 respectively. Sophomore Tyler Schultz and senior Patrick Lang also swam on both of those relays. Preston, meanwhile, anchored the 400 medley relay while Cole was the final swimmer on the 200 free relay.

On the women's side, the Bearcats posted three double-event winners. Sophomore Eva Smith swept the 100 back (56.77) and 200 back (2:04.54), freshman Julia Iwanow captured the 100 breast (1:03.27) and 200 breast (2:15.89) while senior Maria Pignatelli was first in the 50 free (23.74) and 100 free (51.34).

Pignatelli also led off the first-place 400 free relay team. Other members of that squad were junior Juliette Phillips, sophomore Leonor Coelho and freshman Lauren Maierle.

"We competed well this weekend," head coach Jerry Cummiskey said. "We had lots of season-best times and great races. I am very proud of how both our teams did all weekend."
