Slabaugh Named Facilities, Operations & Procurement Assistant

Cortland alum promoted after a year on the staff

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton Division of Athletics has announced that Aaron Slabaugh has been named its Facilities, Operations and Procurement Assistant. His responsibilities include serving as a game/event  manager, oversight of all volunteer ushers, assisting with supervision of Binghamton Student Event Staff, and working closely with Physical Facilities for any special set up of athletic related events. Aaron also assists with the receiving and tracking of all athletic equipment and apparel. 

"We are pleased to have Aaron join the Facilities and Operations team," Senior Associate Athletic Director Dave Simek said. "His outstanding work ethic and dedication as an intern and paid student staffer made our decision an easy one." 

Slabaugh has been on the staff at Binghamton as a paid intern with the Facilities and Operations unit since August 2024. During that span, he supervised the student interns and was the point person for visiting teams and officials at home Binghamton athletic events. Slabaugh was also involved with field maintenance for the three outdoor athletic venues.

A 2024 graduate of SUNY Cortland, Slabaugh was an event manager with the Red Dragons during his final two years. He managed over 40 athletic events and supervised between 6-10 staff members per contest.

Also during his undergraduate career, Slabaugh was a Game Day Assistant at Colgate. He operated the cameras during the Raiders' ESPN+ streaming broadcasts and used NCAA Live stats to update game trends.
