WORCESTER, Mass. – In its final tournament of the fall season, the Binghamton golf team finds itself just three shots off the lead as the Bearcats are tied for fourth after the first day of the Crusader Invitational at Worcester Country Club.

After the start of the tournament was pushed back to 1:30 p.m., because of rain in the area, play was suspended Monday evening due to darkness before the first round could be completed. With a few holes remaining, Binghamton is shooting 5-over par as a team.

On the individual leaderboard, Jack Tebeau is within striking distance of earning medalist honors for the first time in his career. The freshman is tied for fifth at 1-under par through 16 holes, just two shots behind the leader. Tebeau recorded two birdies against one bogey on Monday.

Harrison Blech is tied for 15th at 1-over par through 15 holes. Sitting one shot behind him is Sean Shen, who is tied for 21st at 2-over par through 16 holes. Alex Patel is tied for 26th at 3-over par through 16 holes.

Bryant leads the invitational at 2-over par. Fordham's Kieran Cummins and Siena's Michael McConie are tied for first on the individual leaderboard at 3-under par.

Play resumes Tuesday at 10 a.m., followed by the second and final round.
