Women’s Tennis Takes Down Delaware State

Bearcats dominant doubles, bottom three singles slots for close win

Box Score DOVER, Del. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Women's Tennis (3-5, 0-4) earned a 4-3 win over Delaware State (1-3), Saturday afternoon inside Dover Indoor Tennis Center. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Binghamton started off with two strong performances at second and third doubles to establish an early 1-0 lead.

Delaware State notched two wins to open up individual play in the second and second slots. Nitya Vyas evened the score at two after a 6-4, 6-3 victory at fourth singles before the Hornets registered another win in the third slot to retake the advantage. 

Kayla Castellano and Julia Pedraza Palacios came in clutch the Bearcats in the final two doubles positions, claiming dominant straight-set victories to clinch a 4-3 team decision.
