VESTAL, N.Y. – Less than a week after picking up its first win of the season, the Binghamton men's lacrosse team turns its attention to the start of America East Conference play with a game at UMass Lowell on Friday at 3 p.m., at Cushing Field.

Binghamton Notes
- The Bearcats broke through into the win column for the first time this season on Saturday, March 8 when they defeated Stony Brook on the road 12-10. Andrew Girolamo led Binghamton with three goals for his second hat trick of the season, while Jack Mellen recorded his first two tallies of the year.
- In their victory against the Seawolves, Bearcats set season highs a team in goals (12), points (19), assists (7), shots (44), shots on goal (30) and ground balls (39).
- Matthew Rincon brought home the first weekly award for Binghamton this season as the junior was named America East Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. To earn the first weekly honor of his career, the midfielder posted a combined 11 ground balls and four caused turnovers against Siena and Stony Brook the prior week. His eight ground balls against Stony Brook was a career-high for the junior, while his two caused turnovers against both the Saints and the Seawolves were also career bests. Rincon also added two goals and one assist between those games.
- Both CJ Mangio and Flynn Wilson had a breakout performance at the X against Stony Brook, with both players setting a career high in faceoff wins. Mangio led the Bearcats with eight wins out of 12 attempts, while Wilson had seven wins out of 12 attempts.
- With his goal in the first quarter against Stony Brook, Gage Adams passed Joe Licata for the sixth-most career goals in Binghamton men's lacrosse history at 64. The senior is now two behind Phil Cavallo's 66 for the fifth-most in program history.
- Binghamton, who leads the all-time series against UMass Lowell 7-2, has won its last two games against the River Hawks, including a 15-6 victory at home in their last matchup on March 30, 2024. The last time the Bearcats played in Lowell on April 1, 2023, they made history by setting a program record with 21 goals in a 21-10 victory against the River Hawks. Binghamton then tied that record in 2024 in its 21-10 win against UMBC on April 13.
UMass Lowell Notes
- The River Hawks began their season 3-1 with victories against Merrimack 14-9, Mercyhurst 15-7 and Wagner 13-12. However, UMass Lowell enters Friday's game on a two-game losing streak with losses to Queens University of Charlotte 12-11 in overtime and No. 17 Fairfield 19-5.
- Freshman Danny Burke has emerged as the team leader in points for the River Hawks with 19 (11 goals and eight assists), which is tied for the fourth-most in the America East.
- Riley Lawhorn ranks third in the America East in goals with 13 and seventh in points with 14.
- Goalie AJ True is second in the America East in saves per game at 12.00. He has made at least 15 saves in three games this season, including 17 against both Holy Cross and Queens, a career-high for the freshman.
