Men’s Lacrosse Renews In-State Battle with Siena for Home Opener

Wednesday’s game is the first time the two programs will face each other since 2018

VESTAL, N.Y. – For the first time this season, the Binghamton men's lacrosse team will take the field at the Bearcats Sports Complex for a game as it faces Siena on Wednesday at 4 p.m. All of Binghamton's home men's lacrosse games this season include free admission on behalf of Station 45.

Binghamton Notes
  • The Bearcats were defeated in their last game by Hofstra 15-5 on Saturday, March 1 in Hempstead, N.Y. Both Liam Ferris and Andrew Girolamo scored two goals for the Bearcats, while Nolan Sharkey recorded his first collegiate goal.
  • Ferris has registered a point in all 16 games he has played for the Bearcats dating back to the start of the 2024 season. He has also scored at least one goal in 15 of those games, including his last 12.
  • After causing a team-high two turnovers on Saturday, Nolan Sharkey now leads the Bearcats in caused turnovers with five this season. The sophomore ranks fifth in the America East Conference in caused turnovers per game at 1.67.
  • Additionally, Sharkey leads the Bearcats in ground balls with 12 after he collected four against Hofstra, which was tied for the most on the team that game along with Ferris and Anthony Bilello. Both Sharkey and Connor Winters rank in the top 10 in the America East in ground balls per game. Sharkey is tied for seventh with four ground balls per game, while Winters is tied for 10th at 2.67.
  • This is the first time that Binghamton is playing Siena in nearly seven years. The Bearcats have won its last two games against Siena, with the overall series tied at five games apiece. In those last two meetings, Binghamton first defeated Siena 10-5 on the road on March 7, 2017, before following that up with a 13-11 victory at home on March 27, 2018.
 
Siena Notes
  • The Saints are playing their second game in three days after losing at Dartmouth 16-13 on Monday. Pratt Reynolds led all scorers with four goals, while Travis Fry and Patrick Radomski each added three for Siena.
  • Siena was picked as the preseason favorite in the MAAC for the second season in a row after finishing first in the 2025 MAAC Preseason Poll. The Saints went 8-8 in 2024 while making it to the MAAC Semifinals before falling to eventual MAAC champion Sacred Heart 15-13.
  • Reynolds, who leads the team in goals with 11, was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team before the start of the season. The senior has scored 124 goals during his collegiate career, including a career-high 45 in 2024, which was tied for the 10th-most in the country.
