Bearcats compete in two-day, non-scoring track & field meet

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Redshirt sophomore Brian Luciano won the hammer, highlighting Binghamton's performance at the Bucknell Outdoor Track & Field Challenge this weekend. The two-day meet, which did not include team scoring, concluded on Sunday afternoon.

Luciano's victory - which was clinched by a first-place throw of 202-11 - was his second straight in the hammer this season. In three meets so far during this outdoor campaign, he has his two first-place performances and a school record set at the prestigious Raleigh Relays last month.

Graduate student Marcus Johnson was the Bearcats' other top finisher on the men's side at Bucknell this weekend. He was third in the 400 (47.99) and sixth in the 200 (21.44).

On the women's side, freshman Siena Jacobson was second in the pole vault (11-6 ¼) while junior Alyssa Armitage tied for seventh in the pole vault invitational section (12-2).

Junior Sydney Leitner was third in the women's 1,500 (4:40.78) while the women's 4x100 relay team also placed third with a time of 47.66. That quartet included sophomores Kaylen Tenemille, Ashlyn Rattray and Tatum Norris as well as junior Alepha Ferrer.

Norris also tied for seventh in the pole vault (11-0 ¾).
