Box Score LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell (15-26, 7-10 America East) scored four runs in the third inning – two unearned - and held on for a 5-4 win over Binghamton baseball (20-18, 9-8 AE) in a game that began Saturday night and finished Sunday afternoon after rain halted play after six innings. The loss snapped Binghamton's six-game win streak.
The Bearcats sent eight men to the plate in the ninth, scored twice and had the bases loaded before a sliding catch in short right field ended the comeback bid.
The Bearcats committed a season-high three errors and were held to single runs in the fourth and fifth innings before mounting a rally in their final at-bat after the game resumed Sunday.

Zach Rogacki followed with an RBI single to make it 5-4. But the rally stalled with the bases loaded.
Rogacki collected two hits and two RBIs and the Bearcats outhit UML 8-7.

Conner Griffin and
Brady Lesiak combined to work 5.1 closing innings without surrendering an earned run. Griffith struck out four in his 2.1 innings and Lesiak allowed just one hit in his 2.0 frames.
