VESTAL, N.Y. – Following his strongest season yet with the Binghamton golf team, Brandon Conner received Second Team All-Conference honors from the Northeast Conference, the league announced Tuesday. The all-conference teams were voted on by the men's golf coaches in the NEC.
 
This is the second time in as many years that the Bearcats have had a golfer earn all-conference recognition from the NEC, which Binghamton joined before the start of the 2023-24 season. Evan Sitts was previously named to the Second Team in 2024.

"We are very proud of Brandon," said Binghamton Head Golf Coach Bernie Herceg. "He had a solid season for our team and was our leader in several categories. I know he is already looking forward to his final year coming up, and he will make every effort to be at his best for our team in 2025-26."
 
While competing in all of Binghamton's 10 tournaments throughout 2024-25, Conner set a new career-low in stroke average at 73.9. The junior also became the first Bearcat golfer to win a tournament since 2019 when he took first place at the Lehigh Invitational in October. His score of 67-74 = 141/3-under par made him the only golfer in the 45-man field to finish the event under par. Additionally, his final score of 3-under par is tied for the sixth-lowest score through 36 holes relative to par in program history, and his first round tally of 67/5-under par is tied for the second-lowest round in Binghamton history. For his performance, Conner was named Golfer of the Month by the NEC, becoming the first Bearcat to get that award from the conference. He was also chosen as one of the league's prime performers for the month.
 
The Cincinnati, Ohio native carried that momentum into the spring season by picking up top 10 finishes at the Testudo Cup (tied for 8th) and the Roar-EE Invitational (tied for 10th). His performance at the Testudo Cup led to him being named a prime performer by the conference for the second time during the season on April 9. Conner then closed out the year by finishing tied for 15th at the NEC Men's Golf Championship in April.
