VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton Athletics captured the last two championships of the spring to vault into third place in the final America East Stuart P. Haskell, Jr. Commissioner's Cup standings. The conference released the 2024-25 totals, which recognize the strongest athletics programs in the nine-team league, as based on regular season and tournament finishes throughout the fall, winter and spring. 

After winning the last two Cups, the Bearcats rode their three championship teams (men's swimming, softball, baseball) and two regular season champions (volleyball, softball) to a 308 point total, surpassed only by Cup winner Bryant (352) and runnerup UAlbany (340). It was the same top-3 schools as last year, only in different order. For the first time in 18 years, Binghamton has produced back-to-back-to-back top-3 finishes.

Softball, coached by Jess Bump, led the way with regular season and tournament titles and a school-best and perfect-score 36 points. Women's soccer, led by coach Neel Bhattacharjee, accumulated 35 points and coach Tim Sinicki's championship baseball team contributed 30 points. For the second straight year, coach Jerry Cummiskey's men's swimming & diving team seized the most points possible with their title. 

Binghamton also crowned a second-straight men's tennis conference championship under coach Nick Zieziula, though that title came in the Northeast Conference.
