Seven Bearcat student-athletes form this year’s E-Board

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton Student-Athletes of Color for Success (SACS) is ready to begin the 2026-27 academic year. This year's seven-member E-Board includes Marcus Nahim (men's soccer), Deborah Estabine (women's track & field), Stephan Snagg (men's basketball), Jahkaya Davis (women's soccer), Caleb Alexandre (men's track & field), Tristan Prescott (women's track & field) and Kaylen Tenemille.

Founded in 2020, the mission of the Binghamton SACS is:
  • Foster a community of solidarity amongst student-athletes of color within athletics
  • To create a space where experiences and issues regarding race can be discussed
  •  Provide student-athletes of color with opportunities for growth and development
  • Empower student-athletes of color to strive for success in every regard.
"Being a part of SACS has given me a place where I can feel comfortable to come to and has given me a tight-knit family within the athletic department," Estabine said. "It has been really meaningful for me."
The SACS has blended topical discussions and fun activities since its formation six years ago.

"We have had fun events such as laser tag and this year we are hoping to have a halloween-theme event," Estabine said. "But we have also had some very good serious discussions about the struggles that we've had as people of color."
