Bearcat duo closed careers with repeat conference titles

VESTAL, N.Y. – Recent graduates Josh Stone and Jennifer Mui have been named to the 2025 America East Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team. The announcement was made on Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.

To be eligible for the America East All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility, attain a 3.30 minimum grade-point average and be a contributor on their team. The squad is voted on by a committee of America East student-athlete support and athletic communications administrators as well as faculty athletic representatives.

There were 10 honorees on both men's and women's America East All-Academic squads.

Stone and Mui each won their second straight individual America East championships at last month's outdoor meet. Stone was the repeat winner of the men's 5,000 while Mui is now the two-time women's champion in the 3,000 Steeplechase (SC). Mui also advanced to the NCAA East Region Meet in the 3,000 SC for the first time in her career.

Stone has now swept America East All-Academic honors in all three seasons this year - cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. Mui, meanwhile, now has five total All-Academic honors to her name, including two in cross country (2023 & 2024), one in indoor track (2024) and two straight in outdoor track (2004 & 2025).

Since 2006, Binghamton has posted 30 men's All-Academic selections and 23 women's honorees in outdoor track & field.
