Track & Field Lands Four USTFCCCA All-Academic Selections

Delany, Johnson, Chan and Mui honored for athletic and scholastic excellence

VESTAL, N.Y. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has released its 2024-25 All-Academic honorees for the recent track campaign, and a quartet of Bearcats are included in the list. Recent graduates Marcus Johnson, Jenna Chan and Jennifer Mui as well as sophomore Brennan Delany were each recognized for the first time in their careers.

To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a track & field athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above and have completed at least two semesters at their current institution. For the indoor season, an individual must have been ranked among the top 96 in the nation in an event. For the outdoor season, an individual must have advanced to their respective regional meet in an event.

Johnson and Mui both qualified for the NCAA East Region Outdoor Meet. Johnson went on to place 22nd at the NCAA Championships in the 400 hurdles. While Johnson also captured his second straight America East 400 hurdle crown, Mui was the repeat conference winner in the women's 3,000 steeplechase (SC).

Chan closed out her illustrious career with her third America East women's indoor 60 hurdle title while Delany swept both the indoor heptathlon and outdoor decathlon championships.
