Men’s Soccer Hosts Hofstra

Bearcats and Pride Square off Sunday at 3 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-2-0) defeated Mount St. Mary's 2-1 in its home opener on Thursday evening. Junior midfielder Alex Balkey and junior forward Kevaughn Harris netted the Bearcat goals while graduate student goalkeeper Daniel Shannon made six saves in his first start of the season.

- Balkey has scored in back-to-back matches and leads the Bearcats with two goals and four total points so far this year.

- Hofstra (1-1-0) is coming off a 2-0 win over St. John's last Sunday night. Laurie Goddard and Daniel Burko scored the Pride's goals.

- Burko leads Hofstra with two goals and four total points so far this season. He has scored in both matches.

- Hofstra leads the all-time series against the Bearcats 6-1-1. Most recently, the Pride won 3-2 at home on Sept. 2, 2024. Current junior forward Anthony Randazzo scored both Binghamton goals in that game. The lone Bearcat win in the series was a 2-1 decision at Hofstra on Oct. 25, 2016.
