Men’s Soccer Returns Home to Face Iona

Bearcats and Gaels Square Off Saturday at 6:07 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-3-0) won 3-2 at Le Moyne on Sunday. Junior forward Anthony Randazzo - the current America East Offensive Player of the Week, scored two goals within a span of 46 seconds during the victory. Fellow junior forward Kevaughn Harris netted the other Bearcat goal.

- Randazzo, Harris and junior midfielder Alex Balkey are all tied for the team lead with two goals each. Balkey has also posted a team-best five total points (two goals and an assist). Graduate student goalkeeper Daniel Shannon, meanwhile, has a 3-1-0 record, a 1.00 GAA and a solo shutout so far this season.

- Iona (1-1-2) is the defending MAAC champion. Most recently, the Gaels defeated visiting Stonehill 3-0 on Wednesday. Andrey Mora Bravo finished with a goal and an assist in the win.

- The Gaels the all-time series 2-1-0 but most recently, Binghamton rallied for a 2-1 road win on Sept. 14, 2024. Current senior back Luke Yates and current redshirt junior back Cailen Thomas scored for the Bearcats in the victory.

- Iona is the second defending conference champion Binghamton faces this season. The Bearcats defeated CAA champion Hofstra 1-0 back on Aug. 31.

All three game-winning goals by the Bearcats this season have been scored within the final 22 minutes of the match.
