WILMINGTON, Del. – The Binghamton golf team put up a strong showing on the first day of the Blue Hen Intercollegiate Monday at White Clay Creek Country Club, as the Bearcats find themselves in second place overall after the first 36 holes. Additionally,
Brandon Conner is in third place out of 69 golfers on the individual leaderboard.
The Bearcats put up a team score of 302-294 = 596/20-over par. Conner, meanwhile, posted a score of 72-69 = 141/3-under par, with the senior recording five birdies in the second round. With that performance, Conner puts himself in position to earn medalist honors for the second time in his collegiate career. Conner previously won the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 20, 2024.
Alex Patel also finds himself in the top 10, as the freshman is tied for ninth at 74-74 = 148/4-over par. In only his second collegiate event, Patel put up a combined four birdies between both rounds. Fellow freshman
Jack Tebeau is tied for 26th at 76-77 = 153/9-over par.
Host Delaware leads the field at 288-284 = 572/4-under par. Arsit Areephun sits atop the individual leaderboard for the Fightin' Blue Hens at 68-69 = 137/7-under par.
The final round begins with a shotgun start on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
