Men’s Soccer Begins Homestand Against Lafayette

Bearcats and Leopards square off Tuesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-4-0) won 2-1 at Central Connecticut on Saturday. Sophomore back Ryan Gillon and junior forward Anthony Randazzo netted the Bearcat goals in the victory.


- Randazzo is tied for second in the America East with three goals and is first with 0.75 goals per game. He also ranks first with 1.50 points per game. 

- Junior forward DT Megliola is tied for first in the conference with three assists. In addition, junior forward Kevaughn Harris and junior midfielder Alex Balkey have each scored twice so far this year.

- Lafayette (2-5-2) played to a scoreless draw at Holy Cross on Saturday. Samir Dishnica leads the Leopards with a pair of goals so far this season. 

- The Leopards lead the all-time series 6-3. Binghamton, however, won 1-0 last Sept. 10 in Easton. Chris Comber scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute. In the three previous contests played at Binghamton, meanwhile, Lafayette has won every time.

- The match against the Leopards marks the start of Binghamton's longest homestand of the season. The Bearcats host New Hampshire on Saturday in their annual Homecoming Game as well as Cornell next Tuesday.
