Bearcats will compete at three-day event in Annapolis, Md.

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's tennis opens its six-tournament fall slate this weekend at the Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational, hosted by Navy in Annapolis, Md. The three-day event will be held at Navy's Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium.

The event will consist of five singles and three doubles flights. Start times are noon on Friday and 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Teams competing in addition to Binghamton and Navy are FDU, George Mason, Lehigh, Mary Washington, Monmouth and St Bonaventure.

"We are looking forward to starting our fall 2025 season down at Navy," second-year head coach Paul Caceres said. "It will be a good experience, particularly for our two new freshmen who will have the opportunity to play against strong players from the other participating schools.  I am excited to see the capabilities in competition of everyone early in the season, and build momentum as we progress through our fall tournament schedule."

The Bearcats return six letterwinners from last year's squad that won seven matches and showed dramatic improvement among its NEC counterparts. Senior Loren Cuomo heads a lineup that also includes 2024-25 NEC All-Rookie selection Clara Arbeloa Lopez and team singles wins leader Kayla Castellano.
