HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team began its 2025-26 season Saturday by competing at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial at Seven Oaks Golf Club.
Due to heavy rain causing a delay, the 14 teams competing were only able to make it to halfway through the second round before play was stopped due to darkness.
Overall, Binghamton sits in eighth place at 8-over par.
Brandon Conner was the top performing Bearcat in the opening round, shooting 72/even-par to put himself in a tie for 10th place on the individual leaderboard.
Jackson Vesper is one shot behind him, as he is tied for 18th at 73/1-over par.
Saint Joseph's leads the field at 283/5-under par. Lehigh's Noah Zyung is at the top of the individual leaderboard with a score of 68/4-under par.
The second round resumes on Sunday at 8 a.m., followed right after by the third and final round.
