VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team wraps up its fall season next week by competing in the Bucknell Invitational from Sunday through Tuesday at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
Binghamton is one of 19 teams competing in this event. The Bearcats will face golfers from Bucknell, Bryant, Canisius, Colgate, Fairleigh Dickinson, La Salle, Le Moyne, Manhattan, Maryland Eastern Shore, Mercyhurst, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara, Rider, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure, Wagner and Youngstown State.
Binghamton last competed in its home tournament, the Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational, earlier this week at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y.
Jackson Vesper tied for 17th with the lowest 36-hole score of his collegiate career, as the senior shot 74-76 = 150/6-over par. Overall, the Bearcats finished eighth in the tournament.
One round will be played each day, with double tee times. Sunday's first round begins at 8 a.m., while play on Monday and Tuesday starts at 9 a.m.
