About Binghamton
- Binghamton continues to search for its first win of the season after falling to Siena last Tuesday 14-5 in Loudonville, N.Y. The Bearcats had five different goal scorers against the Saints, with Colin DeLay, Ryan Meyers, Matthew Rincon, Nolan Sharkey and Nico Spaziani each scoring a goal.
- Spaziani's tally was the first of his collegiate career. He is one of four Bearcats who have scored their first collegiate goal this season. Joining him in that group are Austin Constable, Troeger Lombardini and Meyers.
- In his first start since being named the America East Goalkeeper of the Week last Monday, Connor Winters stopped 14 shots against Siena. Winters has registered at least 13 saves in each of his first three games this season. It is the first time he has made that many saves in each of the opening three games of a season since 2023. Winters continues to lead the America East in goals against average (11.33) and save percentage (.553) while also tying for first in saves per game (14.00).
- Rincon collected six ground balls against Siena, the most for any Bearcat so far this season. Tuesday's game was also the second one in a row that he caused two turnovers. The captain previously caused two turnovers against St. Bonaventure on Feb. 14. Entering Saturday's contest, Rincon ranks second in the America East in caused turnovers with five. Both Luke LeSueur and Sharkey are right behind him with four each.
- Flynn Wilson won 11 out of 19 faceoff attempts against Siena last Tuesday. Not only has the sophomore won at least 10 faceoffs in each of his first three games this season, but he has also won at least half of his faceoff attempts in each contest. Additionally, Wilson is tied with Rincon for the team lead in ground balls with 12.
