Pikofsky-Christiansen, Norby and Tirado conclude standout seasons

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Freshman Samuel Pikofsky-Christiansen, junior Dylan Norby and senior Elizabeth Tirado took part in the NCAA Zone A Diving Meet this week at Kinney Natatorium on the campus of the U.S. Naval Academy.

There are five NCAA Zone Diving Meets in the nation each year - based on geographic location. To qualify for an NCAA Zone Meet, a diver must have met a standard score in either the one- or three-meter diving competition during the current season.

The women's qualifying standard scores are 265 in the one-meter event and 280 in the three-meter competition. Tirado hit the qualifying marks twice during the 2025-26 season.

On the men's side, the qualifying standards are 300 points for the one-meter competition and 320 for the three-meter event. Pikofsky, Norby and sophomore Jacob Koclanis all met the marks during the seasons. Koclanis, however, was injured at the America East Championships two weeks ago and was unable to compete at the NCAA Zone Meet.

This marks the first time since 2022 that Binghamton divers have advanced to the NCAA Zone Meet. In addition, the four qualifiers this season (men and women combined) is the highest total in program history.

"This season was one for the books," diving coach Heather Colby said. "We have been endlessly proud of our ability to stick together in times of hardship and in triumph. We have been so committed to the team and sport. It's been a gift and I can't wait for next season."

There were 93 total women's divers and 70 men's divers representing most of the conferences in the Northeast at the NCAA Zone A Meet.

Pikofsky Christiansen won the one-meter title at the preceding America East meet while Norby, Koclanis and Tirado were all finalists at the meet. In addition, Tirado, Pikofsky-Christiansen and Norby were each named the America East Diver of the Week multiple times during the 2025-26 season.
