URBANA, Md. – The Binghamton golf team completed the first round of the Carpetbagger Classic Saturday at Worthington Manor Golf Club.
Harrison Blech leads the Bearcats, who are co-hosting this event with Colgate, with a score of 74/2-over par. The senior is aiming to post his second top 20 in his last three appearances. Blech previously tied for third at the Sacred Heart Spring Break Invite on March 10 to begin Binghamton's spring season.
Overall, the Bearcats are tied for seventh out of 14 teams competing at 301/13-over par. Mount St. Mary's leads the tournament at 290/2-over par. The Mountaineers' Force Kosalutta leads the individual leaderboard at 69/3-under par.
The final round of the Carpetbagger Classic begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m., on Sunday.
