VESTAL, N.Y. – Senior Liam Preston and junior Harrison Lambert have been named to the America East Men's Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team. The announcement was made on Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
To be eligible for the America East All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility, attain a 3.30 minimum grade-point average and be a contributor on their team. The squad is voted on by a committee of America East student-athlete support and athletic communications administrators as well as faculty athletic representatives.
There were 10 total honorees on the 2025 America East Men's Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team.
Preston is just the fifth Binghamton men's swimmer/diver to earn All-Academic honors three times during his career. At the recent America East Championships, he earned all-conference accolades for the fourth time in his career by virtue of his third-place finish in the 200 free. In addition, Preston was the David Alexander Coaches Award recipient as the senior competing at the conference meet with the highest career point total.
Lambert, meanwhile, earns his first career America East All-Academic honor. He won his second straight conference title in the 400 IM and was the runner up in the 1,650 free. Lambert has now earned all-conference status in each of his first three seasons.
Since the America East All-Academic Teams were established in 2006, Binghamton's men's team has posted 49 selections.
NOTE: Binghamton's other three-time America East All-Academic honorees include Dan Feeley (2010-12), Justin Mattison (2011-13), Ross Bernstein (2018-20), David Walters (2019-21) and Ryan Board (2020-22).
