Current youth coach also worked with the Bearcats in 2023

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton men's soccer program has announced the hiring of Habi Darling as its top assistant coach for the 2026 season. He is the first hire made by interim head coach Tommy Moon, who was elevated to that position earlier in the semester.

Darling has been part of the Western New York (WNY) Flash Binghamton since 2024. He is the current Youth Coach and Youth Director. Darling has been involved with developing programs, assessing skills and organizing all practice sessions.

"We're excited to welcome Habi Darling to our coaching staff," Moon said. "Habi brings a strong understanding of the game, great energy and a commitment to developing players both on and off the field. His passion for the game and ability to connect with players aligns perfectly with the culture we're building. He is very involved with the local soccer community and we're confident he will make an immediate impact on our program."

"I'm incredibly excited to join the program and be part of this staff," Darling said. "I'm grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to working with the players. I will do everything I can to bring success to Binghamton."

This is Darling's second stint with the Bearcats' men's soccer program. He was a volunteer assistant during the 2023 campaign, which culminated with an appearance in the America East semifinals.
