VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (2-8, 1-2 America East) hosts UMBC (3-6, 2-2 America East) for an America East matchup at noon on Saturday at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
Binghamton is hosting JR Gaudet Youth Day, welcoming youth players to the Bearcats Sports Complex. After the game, any youth player age 12 and under who shows up with their lacrosse stick can enter the field and pass a ball with a player on the Binghamton men's lacrosse team.
Youth Day will be celebrated in honor of former Binghamton men's lacrosse player John "JR" Gaudet. Gaudet, a Binghamton native who played for the Bearcats from 2003-04. Gaudet passed away while in the line of duty as a member of the Binghamton Fire Department on Feb. 12, 2025. Aside from serving his community as a firefighter, Guadet also coached youth basketball, football and lacrosse in the Binghamton area.
Saturday's game will also serve as the men's lacrosse program's Spread Respect Game, part of the America East's initiative to promote equality and inclusion.

- Andrew Girolamo led the Bearcats with two goals against the Great Danes, bringing his team-leading total to 24 on the season. He remains one of the top scoring threats in the America East, ranking fourth in the conference in goals per game (2.40).
- Connor Winters continues to perform as one of the top goalkeepers in the America East. He leads the conference in save percentage (.567) and ranks second in saves per game (13.60). Winters recorded 13 saves in the Bearcats' last contest against UAlbany.
- Flynn Wilson has been a key presence at the faceoff X for Binghamton, winning 88 faceoffs this season with a .524 win percentage, which ranks fifth in the conference. Additionally, Wilson is sixth among the America East players in ground balls per game (4.50).
- John Angelicola picked up his first career goal and assist last Saturday against UAlbany.
