Langston Behr Named Assistant Sports Performance Coach

Texas State alum brings multiple years of full-time experience

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton Division of Athletics has formally announced that Langston Behr has been named an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. 

"We are thrilled to have Langston Behr join our Sports Performance Staff," Head Sports Performance Coach Lori Gleason said. "Langston has worked with a variety of sports from his previous positions, he also has a solid background in the technology that we currently utilize, for example, Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates.  Langston will secure our Sports Performance vision of accountability, discipline, and commitment, for our student athletes' in the upcoming years."

Behr most recently worked at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2024-25 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports. He worked primarily with the Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball program as well as both its men's and women's tennis teams. Behr also assisted with the men's basketball program.

The previous two years, Behr was at Virginia Military Institute (VMI), where he designed and implemented programs for nine different athletic programs. He was also the primary assistant for four other programs.

During the 2021-22 academic year, Behr was the graduate assistant at Lander University. He coached seven different programs during that stint and completed a 400+ hour strength and conditioning based curriculum. 

A 2019 graduate of Texas State, Behr went on to earn his master's degree in 2022 from Lander University.
