Armitage Named AE Field Athlete of the Week

Senior pole vaulter wins at UAlbany, breaks own program record


VESTAL, N.Y. - Senior pole vaulter Alyssa Armitage has been named the America East Women's Field Athlete of the Week. It marks the first time this season - as well as the third time in her career - that she has earned the conference's weekly accolade.

Armitage won the pole vault at the UAlbany Spring Classic this past weekend with a school-record height of 13-4 ½. That breaks her own 2024 record of 13-3 1/2. Currently, Armitage is ranked No. 36 in the NCAA East Region rankings.

Previously, Armitage was named the America East Field Athlete of the Week on April 9, 2024 and Feb. 4, 2025.

Binghamton competes at Penn Relays this Thursday-Saturday.
