NCA Honor Society Welcomes 50 Binghamton Inductees

Since 2006, 765 Bearcat student-athletes have been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton Division of Athletics has announced that 50 of its student-athletes have been selected for induction into Chi Sigma Alpha - the National College Athlete Honor Society. This is the 21st year that Bearcat student-athletes have been inducted.

In order to be eligible for induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must have achieved junior academic standing by their fifth semester, have attained at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and have participated in a sport sponsored by the NCAA.

"These extremely talented young women and men are a true testament to high academic and athletic achievement," Director of Athletics Gene Marshall said. "I am thrilled to help welcome them into this prestigious Honor Society! Congratulations to our 50 student-athletes!"

Since its inception in 2006, 765 Binghamton student-athletes have been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma.
