VESTAL, N.Y. – Three Binghamton women's lacrosse players were named to this week's America East weekly awards winners list, as announced by the league Monday afternoon. The announcement comes from a 18-7 victory over UMass Lowell on Saturday. This is the first time in program history Binghamton has won Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week in the same week.
Emma Blloshmi was named Offensive Player of the Week after netting a career-high nine goals against the River Hawks. Her nine goals are the most by an America East player and one of three players in the nation to score nine goals in a single game this season. The West Babylon, N.Y. native scored half of Binghamton's goals on Saturday and a triple hat trick for the first time in her career. This is Blloshmi's first AE weekly honor accolade of the season and the second of her career.
Maryn Savage was named Defensive Player of the Week after forcing a career-high six caused turnovers in the victory over UMass Lowell. She is one of two players in the conference to cause six turnovers in a single game this season. The Victor, N.Y. native is just the sixth player in program history to cause at least six turnovers in a game. This is Savage's first career AE weekly honor accolade.
Sabrina Boyle was named Rookie of the Week after recording her first career hat trick in the victory over the River Hawks. She is the first Bearcat to win a Rookie of the Week award since April 22, 2024 (
Emma Blloshmi).
Binghamton (5-7, 2-2 AE) travels to Burlington, Vt. to take on Vermont (6-6, 2-1 AE) on Saturday for a noon start time.
