Elisa Allen have eaca earned All-Northeast Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA). Carey was named to the first team while Allen was chosen to the third team.
This marks the second straight season that both Allen and Carey have earned NFCA All-Region honors. Last year, each of them earned third-team accolades.
Carey is in the midst of a historic 2026 campaign. She became just the second player ever to be named both the America East Player of the Year as well the conference tournament's Most Outstanding Player during the season year. Carey currently ranks fifth in the nation with a .477 batting average, second with 0.42 doubles per game and No. 31 with an .876 slugging percentage. She has homered 14 times this season and has driven in 47 runs.
In the America East Tournament this past weekend, Carey clubbed a record four home runs, hit .471 (8-for-17) and finished with 12 RBI. As a result of her outstanding performance, she was chosen as the third baseman for the NCAA Softball Lineup of the Week.
Allen, meanwhile, has homered a conference-best 16 times this season and ranks third with 44 RBI. On the national level, she ranks No. 19 with 0.41 home runs per game and No. 45 with an .832 slugging percentage. Allen earned first-team all-conference honors for the second year in a row and is currently tied for first all-time in America East history with 46 home runs.
Since 2010, Binghamton has posted 18 NFCA All-Region selections. Up until 2025, the Bearcats were part of the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Binghamton (20-25) won its second straight America East championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Bearcats will take part in the Oklahoma Region this coming weekend – an event which also includes the host Sooners, Michigan and Kansas.
