VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton baseball (30-21) will continue its postseason this weekend in Morgantown, W.Va.
The two-time reigning America East champion Bearcats will join second-seeded Wake Forest (38-19) and third-seeded Kentucky (31-21) in the four-team NCAA Regional, hosted by No. 16 national seed and Big 12 runnerup West Virginia (39-14) at Kendrick Family Ballpark. The NCAA revealed its 64-team national tournament bracket on ESPN Monday afternoon, and a jammed room of Bearcat fans and supporters gathered to watch the Selection Show.  Â
Fourth-seeded Binghamton will face top-seeded and ninth-ranked West Virginia Friday night, following the afternoon matchup between ACC power Wake Forest and SEC member Kentucky. The winners and losers will square off on Saturday, with the regional continuing on Sunday and Monday if necessary.Â
Binghamton will be making its seventh overall NCAA Regional appearance in the last 17 years and second in a row, having played at the Athens Regional in 2025. Â
"It's a great regional field … all four teams are quality teams and now it's time for us to get down there and play baseball on Friday," 34th-year head coach
Tim Sinicki said. "It's an opportunity to continue playing against some of the best teams in the country. We'll be prepared and in good shape, based on our NCAA experience last year and our early-season schedule this spring."
On Saturday, Binghamton punched its ticket with a 7-3 win over Maine to complete an undefeated 3-0 tournament at the Bearcats Baseball Stadium. It was the program's second straight conference title, third in the last five years and seventh overall. Binghamton now has the most crowns of any conference baseball team, past or present, in the 37-year history of the conference. The Bearcats also completed the "double" of regular-season and tournament titles - the third time Binghamton has accomplished that feat. The program has combined to win 14 regular season and tournament titles in the last 19 years - the most of any America East team.
The Bearcats will enter the tournament having won seven of their last nine games.Â
