VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton athletics has announced the addition of former student-athlete Alex Brodsky as assistant general manager for men's and women's basketball. 

In the newly created role, Brodsky will work closely with the athletics external advancement team and the coaches to expand philanthropic support for both programs. His primary focus be cultivating relationships with alumni and supporters throughout the downstate region, creating new opportunities for engagement and investment in the program. 

"It's great having Alex at Binghamton," head men's basketball coach Levell Sanders said. "As a former walk-on, he has a unique understanding of what Binghamton is about. His experience gives him valuavble insight into the program, our culture and what it means to be part of the Binghamton community." 

Brodsky returns to campus following a two-year professional playing career in Finland and Luxembourg. During his time overseas, he was named 1B Player of the Week in Finland and was one of the top scorers in Luxembourg's National 2 division.

He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and MBA degrees from Binghamton University in 2022.

Since concluding his playing career, Brodsky has assisted with player evaluation and scouting efforts across Finland, Austria, and Iceland. He has also advised players throughout the recruiting and professional placement process, helping student-athletes earn collegiate opportunities and connecting players with professional opportunities overseas.

In addition to his basketball experience, Brodsky has worked in startup technology sales and has been involved in NIL marketing since its early stages, helping collegiate and professional athletes build their personal brands while connecting them with sponsorship, marketing, and partnership opportunities.
