Event features golf, dinner and batting practice at stadium complex

VESTAL, N.Y. - Coming off its second straight NCAA appearance, Binghamton baseball will hold its annual Alumni Day event on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Bearcats Stadium Complex. The event will feature food, drinks and batting practice, with golf available earlier in the day.

"Our baseball alumni day is one of my favorite events of the year," 35th-year head coach Tim Sinicki said. "To see former Bearcats and Colonials back on the field sharing stories and enjoying each others company makes my day. I hope as many guys and their families come back to enjoy the new facility, eat great food, and take a few swings and fungos."

On Sept. 19, the stadium and clubhouse will open at 6 p.m. with snacks and drinks available free of charge. Batting practice starts at 7 p.m. on the field. Those interested in playing golf can contact Mike Folli (mfolli@binghamton.edu) by Sept. 12.

The Bearcats are three months removed from achieving the coveted America East "double," winning both the 2026 regular season and tournament titles. Binghamton then returned to the NCAA Regionals for the second straight year and third time in the last five years. The team's school-record 31 wins included 11 straight conference victories that pushed the Bearcats to the top of the standings. The team had 18 comeback wins and showed their grit in a 3-0 sweep in the America East tournament, held at the Bearcats Baseball Stadium. The team was sent to the NCAA Morgantown Regional, where its season closed with losses to eventual CWS team West Virginia and ACC power Wake Forest. Sinicki was named America East Coach of the Year for the seventh time.
