VESTAL, N.Y. – After back-to-back trips to NCAA Regionals in 2025 and 2026, Binghamton baseball will test itself right out of the gate in 2027 when the Bearcats travel to Athens to meet SEC champion and College World Series program Georgia on Feb. 19-21.
The four-game series against the Bulldogs kicks off a 53-game regular season slate that spans 3+ months. Along the way, 35

Tim Sinicki will bring his squad up against opponents from the Big East, Conference USA, A-10, SoCon, Big South, MAC and familiar Northeast conferences Patriot, Northeast and Ivy League in addition to the 24-game America East schedule.
The opening series at Georgia brings Binghamton back to where it finished the 2025 campaign – at Foley Field in Athens. The Bulldogs are coming off a 53-14 season that featured an SEC title and trip to Omaha, when they advanced to the CWS semifinals.
The Bearcats then renew acquaintances with SoCon member UNC Greensboro on Feb. 26-28. The Spartans won 33 games in 2024 and have been to the NCAA Regionals as recent as 2022.
Binghamton's 20-game home slate opens with a March 2 matchup against Lafayette.
Back-to-back weekend series' in Virginia follow, with a stiff test awaiting at Conference USA power Liberty on March 5-7. The Flames won 43 games and reached the NCAA Regionals last spring, where their path to the Super Regionals was halted only by Georgia.
After a weekday home game against familiar state rival St. Bonaventure (March 9), Binghamton returns to Virginia to face Big South member Radford on March 12-14.
Other non-conference highlights include first-time foe Akron (March 23), a three-game set at Big East member Seton Hall (April 2-4), three single-dates with longtime Central NY rival Cornell (April 13, 20, 27), two games against Le Moyne (March 30, May 4), a home-and-home with Mount St. Mary's (May 20, 22) and a home game vs. Marist (April 6).
The 24-game conference slate includes six games (home-and-home) each against NJIT and UMBC and three-game sets vs. Maine, UAlbany, UMass Lowell and Bryant, The conference slate culminates with the six-team America East Tournament, which will be hosted by NJIT on May 26-30 in Little Falls, N.J.
Sinicki returns seven of nine from his 2026 championship lineup along with 10 pitchers.
