VESTAL, N.Y. - After a convincing home conference win on Sunday, three Binghamton women's soccer players have garnered weekly awards from the America East, the league announced Monday afternoon. 

Senior forward Paige Luke was named Offensive Player of the Week, senior back Sophia Garofalo was named Defensive Player of the Week and freshman midfielder Chelsea Donaldson was the Co-Rookie of the Week. The three recipients bumps Binghamton's number to eight selections this fall - most in the conference. 

Luke tallied one goal and two assists to steer Bearcats to a 3-0 win over Bryant on Sunday. She did all her damage in a 28-minute span during second half. Luke's header in the 50th minute gave Binghamton a 1-0 lead. She then assisted on the other two Bearcat goals, running her season assist total to five (2nd in AE) and her points total to 11 (T-2nd). It was her second 4-point game of the season and the second time she has earned Player of the Week distinction this fall. 

At center back, Garofalo continued to anchor a Bearcat back line that has been stingy in allowing goals and chances. Against Bryant, Garofalo led the team to its seventh shutout of the season (in 10 games). She logged 88 minutes and nearly had a goal in the first half when her 22-yard free kick banked off crossbar. The Garofalo-led defense ranks 10th in the country in goals against average (0.40), having allowed just four goals in 10 games, and eighth in shutout percentage (70%). The weekly honor is her third of the season.

Donaldson scored the Bearcats' second goal against Bryant on a perfectly-executed 14-yard shot to the lower corner in the 64th minute. It was her third goal of the season - second goal in the last four games. She now has three goals on just four shots this season. Donaldson started her second straight game and logged 56 minutes in the midfield. She ranks third in America East in goals/game at .429. It's her first career weekly honor.     

Binghamton next heads to Albany to face the Great Danes Thursday night.
