Cross Country Opens Season at Harry Lang Invitational

Zuba, Gasper and Congelli are Bearcats’ top finishers

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Freshmen Carson Zuba, Owen Gasper and Anna Congelli were Binghamton's top finishers, highlighting its performance at the season-opening Harry Lang Invitational on Saturday morning. Because the Bearcats fielded only four men's and four women's runners - they were not part of the final team scoring.

In the men's 6,000 race, Zuba finished seventh overall in a time of 19:54.7. Gasper was right behind him in ninth place with a time of 19:58.4. There were 40 finishers in the men's race.

Congelli, meanwhile, covered the women's 5,000-meter course in a time of 20:14.4. There were 32 finishers in the women's competition.

Up next for Binghamton is the Iona Meet of Champions this coming Friday at 10 a.m.
