VESTAL, N.Y. -- Visiting St. Bonaventure (2-1) stretched a one-point halftime lead with 72% shooting in the second half and rolled past Binghamton (1-2) 69-44 Sunday afternoon from the Events Center.

Holding a 24-23 halftime lead, the Bonnies outscored BU 33-9 to start the second half, fueled by a 20-0 run that spanned 8:57. The Bearcats managed just eight field goals over the final 20 minutes and shot 31% for the game.

St. Bonaventure put four players in double figures, led by Da'Quan Cook, who hit 10-of-12 and totaled game-highs of 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Senior forward Greer Wright, BU's leading scorer at 24.0 ppg., struggled to a 2-for-11, five-point afternoon. Senior guard Moussa Camara led the Bearcats with 13 points. Senior guard Chretien Lukusa added 12 points.

After a pair of BU free throws cut its margin to five, 37-32, with 16:59 left, the Bearcats went cold, missing nine straight shots and committing three turnovers in a 9:20 scoreless span.

"We weren't stopping who we were supposed to stop," head coach Mark Macon said. "I don't like losing at home ... we are disappointed about that. Our guys are learning but it's a slow curve. We need more effort and we will work harder to get better. We're not dejected ... there's along way to go."

Camara was selected as the America East Player of the Game, sponsored by Security Mutual Life.

The Bearcats travel to West Point to face Army Tuesday night.
