Box ScoreDURHAM, N.H. - Steven Palumbo scored twice, leading New Hampshire (5-6-0, 1-1-0 AE) to a 3-0 win over Binghamton (4-7-0, 0-2-0 AE) in an America East Conference men’s soccer game on Saturday at Bremner Field.
The Bearcats played evenly with the Wildcats for the opening 34 minutes, before Palumbo scored what was the first of three New Hamsphire goals in a 2:32 span. The sophomore midfielder would also score the third goal of the match, making the eventual 3-0 final.
New Hampshire held a 21-6 shot advantage for the game.
Sophomore goalie Chris Hayen made five saves for the Bearcats.
Binghamton returns home Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. for a match up with UMBC at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
